YOU forgot the banks (Jim Shanks, letter July 28, 2008, NDL) , who are of the Fabian menace.
1. Sir Joseph Stamp, one time director of the Bank of England said: “The modern banking system manufactures money out of nothing. The process is perhaps the most astounding piece of sleight of hand that was ever intended. Banking was conceived by iniquity and born in sin ... bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money and with a flick of the pen, they will create enough money to buy it back again ... take this great power away from them and all great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear for then it would be a better and happier world to live in ... but if you want to continue to be slaves of the bankers and pay the cost of your own salary, then let bankers continue to create money and control credit.”
2. Mr Richard McKenna, one time Chancellor of the Exchequer: “I am afraid that ordinary citizens will not like to be told that the banks can and do create and destroy money. And they who control the credit of the nation, direct the policy of governments, and hold in the hollow of their hands the destiny of the people.”
3. Lord Chief Justice of England, Lord Acton: “The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the people versus the banks.”
I would tell you what inflation is, how it starts, why it starts and who starts it, also why the stock market crashes and who benefits from it but it won’t sink into most of the population on account they are besotted by money and those other evils that dull the brain, which they, who believe they are the master race, want.
